Today, I am flashing back to my trip to Europe as a summer exchange student with other kids from my German class. This was the summer in between my sophomore and junior years (1992) - I was 15 years old. We visited Copenhagen, Denmark for a day. Then we went on to Germany and stayed with host families. We met with eachother almost daily though and went on various trips throughout Germany (Neuschwanstein, Linderhof, Munich, Dachau, Tuebingen, Stuttgart etc.) and took trips to Lucerne, Switzerland and Salzburg, Austria. It was such a good time! I haven't been back to Europe since. Maybe someday. The thought of traveling with 5 small children doesn't sound too appealing though, so it may be some years off.
Looking back through the pictures, oh how I wish I had owned a better camera at the time! They are all blah. We went so many fantastic places, but nothing looks very exciting since the quality is so bad (and the photographic skills). I can't wait to go back and take some better ones! Maybe we could get stationed in Germany next ;0)

Oh how fun that looks! I would love to go to Europe. But I agree the thought of traveling with 3 little ones does not sound appealing. Maybe in a few years! :)
Oh, these pictures bring back memories. Maybe you can go to Europe some time, when the kids are older and will remember the trip, too.
Hey Jen...I remember that trip. Imagine my surprise to see myself on your blog! LOL. Boy, it seems like yesterday. hmmm I notice none of the train/Stuttgart people on this post...whats with that?
