This is what Nick does when he is left to his own devices for a few moments.
He decided to color his arms with green marker!

I am SOOOOO Tired!
I am so incredibly tired.
For some strange reason, Nick wouldn't fall asleep until 1:30 (yes - a.m.!)
He had fallen asleep on the way home from dance class for about 20 minutes, and apparently that was enough for him to feel refreshed and ready to go.
As soon as I got him into his bed, I practically dove into mine. Before my head could hit the pillow, Tori was awake and hungry. I fed her and almost got her back to sleep (2 a.m. now) when Nick woke up again. I popped the pacifier in her mouth and went to his room and got him back to sleep, again.
I got about a half hour of blissful sleep when he woke up, yet again and climbed into my bed. Of course, that woke Tori up (who was sleeping next to me at that point). I was a Mommy Sandwich for the rest of the night, with a kid on each side.
I sure didn't want to get up this morning - and I didn't crawl out of bed until almost 10. We have so much schoolwork to get caught up on tonight and tomorrow! Maybe we'll start doing night school :)

Tori's tongue
In these pictures, you can see Tori's little heart-shaped tongue.
She is "tongue-tied" or has a very tight frenulum - it goes to almost the tip of her tongue.
I sure hope that she doesn't have any speech problems later on , or they might have to clip it.
When she was born, the doctor said that they don't really clip them anymore unless there is a problem (mine was clipped when I was a baby - it's hereditary, so it's my fault!) He said that it will probably break some when she's a toddler (since they are always falling). I just don't like the thought of that....

Nick's hair
I just asked Nick if I could cut his hair.
He said "No, Dad will do it. You don't do it!"
We'll see if I can get him to sit still for me this weekend....
He will have a pretty long mane of hair by the time Andy gets back :)

Static
It is getting very dry again and there is static everywhere!!
Poor Lexie has the hardest time with it. I think maybe because she has thin hair. Whenever we're in the car, her hair is sticking straight up!!
We are also waking up with dry throats (even though we're drinking tons of water at night) and chapped lips. I remember this happening last winter. It's definitely time for me to plug the humidifier in and fill it up. It seemed to help some.
GIve this boy a haircut!!
I am going to be in trouble with Andy if he sees how long Nick's hair is getting! Yes, I definitely either need to get the nerve to do it myself, or else I need to fork out some money for someone else to do it...
Tori loves to play
Tori loves to grab anything that comes near her. We were waiting for her sisters to get out of Girl Scouts, so I decided to play with her a bit rather than make her sit in her car seat :)

Binky Battles
I don't know why she doesn't just keep the thing in her mouth :)
She's getting pretty good about getting it back in though!

How Nick keeps busy
This is what Nick was doing today while we were working on schoolwork.....
Yes, he is stacking up every single lego head that he can find. It sure kept him busy for a while!!

Nick the little daredevil
Nick is definitely a boy. He loves to jump. I thought that he was going to pop the poor bean bag, he jumped onto it so many times. What a good way to burn off some energy though!!

4 Month Check-up
Tori had her 4 month check up today. She is 4 months and 3 weeks old, so I'm behind schedule a bit. She weighs 16 lbs, 6 oz. and seems to be doing fine developmentally. She is rolling over and holding her chest up off the ground. She's also grabbing everything that comes her direction: her pacifier, toys, my hair....
She didn't get her shots today though. She has had a runny nose for the past few days and the doctor had her tested for RSV. She doesn't have a fever or anything and only lets out a tiny cough once in a while. It's mostly just her nose. It's making her not sleep quite as well as she usually does :(
Let's hope that I can get all of them healthy at the same time!!
I spoke to the doctor (the same doctor that I saw a couple of weeks ago) and had him check my lab results. Everything looks fine, so I guess I'm ok. I'm sure that the little twinges I was feeling were probably just stress-related. I have felt fine for the past couple of weeks :)

Little Tori Foo Foo
Look through any one of my parents' photo albums and you will find many baby pictures of me with strange things on my head - from tennis racket covers to toy boats. For some silly reason, they thought this was funny. Maybe it was because I was their first child and I was their only form of entertainment at the time :)
Now my kids have decided that Tori needed to be "dressed up" like the rest of them. Doesn't she look cute as a little bunny?? She didn't seem to mind too much. Maybe we're just carrying on a family tradition :)
