Here is Ellie in front of the tree at Grandma's house. (The presents have already been torn open and cleaned up!)
Andy made it safely to Fairbanks on Monday. He is staying in temporary lodging right now until we figure out what we're going to do about housing. I know that something good will turn up :) I think he's pretty much done inprocessing and he now has a long weekend in front of him with nothing much to do. Sounds good to me!! He picked his truck up today, so he's able to drive around and see the area some. He said that they are experiencing a heat wave and are up around 1 degree (as opposed to -42).

Update
SNOW!!!!

SNOW!!!!!! And we're not even in Alaska yet. Harstine Island got enough snow for the girls to get out and enjoy. No snowmen were built, but snowballs flew and the kids just loved it. They also loved coming inside to warm their red noses while drinking hot cocoa :) It was only around 30 degrees when we got this snow - and NEGATIVE 42 degrees in Fairbanks where Andy is. It's cold enough for snow here, but it's 70 degrees colder there - that scares me :)
