Weekend

It's been a beautiful, sunny weekend here. We went to Pioneer Park yesterday (it was military appreciation day and they had lots of free stuff!) and we took a drive out Chena Hot Springs Road. Today the kids are having a picnic in the backyard :)

After looking at these pictures, I notice that they look "fuzzy". I'll have to check and make sure my camera wasn't put on some strange setting or something...

Fall is coming

As I've been looking out the window over the past few days, I keep seeing one thing - falling leaves. It doesn't seem like this should be happening yet. I think that our summer is coming to an end soon. It is actually getting dark at night which I'm having to get used to. I have to start thinking about buying some winter clothes and boots for all of us....

Fun Day at the State Fair :)

Here are some pics of the kids at the fair today. The weather was beautiful and they had such a good time! Nothing like rides and cotton candy to make everybody happy :)

We've had a busy week. Andy was gone at leadership training (spur ride) for 4 days. Then I went through the wives' spur ride on Friday morning - we got to go through part of the obstacle course, shoot blanks, learn how to take apart and reassemble weapons, learn about land nav and how to use a radio. Then we ate an MRE for lunch and ruck marched back to the squadron :) We then went to the Spur Dinner Friday night where Andy was awarded his spurs and I was awarded a yellow garter :) They had childcare provided at the hotel just down the hall from the dinner which was SO nice! Well, it's Sunday night which means we have to go and get everything ready for starting another week....

Castle

The castle is finally painted - although I have yet to do the coat of arms on the banner. I WILL get to it eventually :)
