Now, first of all, I have to say that I love Freecycle. For those of you who don't know what it is, it's a yahoo group in your area where people post things they are getting rid of or things they want - all FREE. I actually got an antique piano off of the site last year so I can attest that it works.
Anyway, although there are some really good finds out there - people post the WEIRDEST things sometimes. The other day, someone posted that they were getting rid of 6 Barbie doll shoes - none of them matching. That in itself is weird. I would think that if you had 6 non-matching shoes you would chuck them in the trash - but that's just me. What is even weirder than that is someone went and picked them up!! What??? You can't tell me that 6 non-matching Barbie shoes is worth the gas that it cost and the time required to pick them up.
I am convinced that there are some very strange people in this world.
If you want to check to see if there is one in your area, go to www.freecycle.org But, if you decide to freecycle, remember that you have to sift through the junk to find the treasure :)

What a cool idea! I wish they had that here. I'm trying to clean out our house, we have waaaaayyyy too much stuff. But I always have a hard time getting rid of things that are still useful or in good shape. But I'm not much of a seller here either, in the States it was so much easier just to throw a yard sale. I donate quite a few things or give them to people I know they can use them. But right now I'm sitting here with two Christmas tree stands that I have no use for. Do you have use for them by any chance? ;)
